Texas High School Softball - Kingwood bounces New Caney
February 24, 2023: New Caney, TX 77357 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Kingwood Mustangs (Kingwood, TX) and the host New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX), saw Kingwood's softball squad nip New Caney by a count of 5-0.
The Mustangs now sport a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Klein Collins for a non-league match on Saturday, February 25. Kingwood will face a Tigers squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Dayton (Dayton, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, New Caney falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Crosby (Crosby, TX) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, February 24. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 5-2. Crosby won 13-0 in their recent non-league match against MacArthur (Houston, TX)
