Salinas Cowboys (Salinas, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Salinas upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, CA) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 27. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 0-1. Santa Cruz lost 12-0 in their recent non-league test against Leigh (San Jose, CA)

With the defeat, Castro Valley falls to 0-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to Amador Valley (Pleasanton, CA) to battle the Dons in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 27. The Dons come into the test with a record of 1-0. Amador Valley won 6-4 in their recent non-league test against Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA)
