Texas High School Softball - Alvin holds off Klein Collins
February 24, 2024: Alvin, TX 77511 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Alvin Yellowjackets (Alvin, TX) and the visiting Klein Collins Tigers (Spring, TX), witnessed Alvin's softball squad tip Klein Collins by a count of 4-2.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to Fulshear for a non-league match on Thursday, February 29. Alvin will face a Chargers squad coming off a 18-2 non-league win over Legacy Prep Christian Academy (Magnolia, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 5-9.
With the loss, Klein Collins moves to 1-7 on the season. The Tigers host Waller (Waller, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 6A Region II District 15 match on Tuesday, February 27. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 9-4. Waller lost 8-3 in their recent non-league match against Dawson (Pearland, TX)
