Texas High School Softball - Pieper knocked off by Franklin
February 24, 2024: San Antonio, TX 78620 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) softball team overwhelmed the host Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX), by a margin of 24-2.
With the triumph, Franklin moves its record to 12-0 on the year. The Lions host Westwood (Palestine, TX) to play the Panthers in a 3A Region III District 20 contest on Monday, March 4. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 5-5. Westwood lost 5-3 in their recent non-league contest against Sabine (Gladewater, TX)
In their next game, the Warriors play the Bishop Lynch Friars (Dallas, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 24. Pieper will attempt to move on its 1-10 season record. The Friars come into the contest with a 3-0 record after their 16-5 non-league win over Commerce (Commerce, TX).
