New Standard Academy Spartans (Flint, MI) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Brandon Blackhawks (Ortonville, MI), 58-57 in a non-league match.

With the victory, New Standard Academy upgrades its record to 14-6 on the year. The Spartans travel to Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI) to face the Cranes in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 25. The Cranes enter the match with a record of 4-13. Cranbrook Kingswood lost 71-51 in their recent non-league match against Shrine Catholic (Royal Oak, MI)

The Blackhawks now sport a 2-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Branch for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 26. Brandon will face a Broncos squad coming off a 46-25 league win over Almont (Almont, MI). The Broncos record now stands at 9-12.
