In Monday's non-league test, the DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Grenada Chargers (Grenada, MS), by a count of 10-1.

Next, the Jaguars meet the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) in a non-league test, on Thursday, February 27. DeSoto Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Commodores go into the test with a 2-1 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS).

The Chargers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Independence (Independence, MS). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Independence was routed by Strayhorn (Sarah, MS), 20-12, in a non-league test.
