February 24, 2026: Gilmer, TX 75644 The Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) baseball trounced the visiting Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX), 10-4 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
The Buckeyes now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kaufman for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 26. Gilmer will clash with a Lions team coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Forney (Forney, TX). The Lions record now stands at 1-4.
The Cardinals (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, Elysian Fields was overwhelmed by Arp (Arp, TX), 5-0, in a non-league bout.
