The El Capitan Gauchos softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Modesto Panthers to 5 in the Gauchos non-league win on Tuesday.

Next, the Gauchos meet the Chavez Titans (Stockton, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 26. El Capitan will attempt to upgrade on its 3-0 season record. The Titans enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 12-9 non-league loss to Modesto (Modesto, CA).

The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Gustine (Gustine, CA). The Reds enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Gustine was routed by Hilmar (Hilmar, CA), 19-2, in a non-league challenge.
