In Friday's non-league outing, the McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Franklin County Rebels (Winchester, TN), by a count of 76-49.

The Cherokees (12-9) will now prepare for their outing against Coffee County Central (Manchester, TN). The Red Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 28-3 record. In their last outing, Coffee County Central smashed Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN), 65-42, in a non-league outing.

The Rebels now hold a 9-15 record.
