Alabama High School Softball - Moody holds off Southside
February 25, 2022: Moody, AL 35004 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Moody Blue Devils (Moody, AL) and the visiting Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL), witnessed Moody's softball squad tip Southside by a count of 7-5.
The Blue Devils now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Oxford for a non-league match on Friday, February 25. Moody will meet a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Cleburne County (Heflin, AL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Southside moves to 0-1 on the season. The Panthers host Helena (Helena, AL) to meet the Huskies in a non-league match on Friday, February 25. The Huskies go into the match with a record of 0-2. Helena lost 8-1 in their recent non-league match against Hoover (Hoover, AL)
