February 25, 2022: Atlanta, GA 30307 South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Druid Hills Red Devils (Atlanta, GA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Comets confront the Parkview Panthers (Lilburn, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, March 1. South Gwinnett will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA).
The Red Devils now possess a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host Hapeville Charter for a AAAA Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 1. Druid Hills will confront a Hornets team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Mays (Atlanta, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 0-4.
