The Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX) softball nipped the visiting Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX), 4-3 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Tigers (6-4) will now prepare for their bout against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX). The Chargers go into the 5A Region IV District 26 bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Boerne-Champion held off Harlandale (San Antonio, TX), 9-3, in a non-league bout.

The Rangers now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Travis for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 26.
