February 25, 2023: Fairmont, WV 26554 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) basketball squad beat the visiting Charleston Catholic Irish (Charleston, WV), by a margin of 54-39.
The Polar Bears (21-1) will now prepare for their outing against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV). The Colts go into the Big Ten outing with a 12-10 record. In their last outing, Philip Barbour defeated Lewis County (Weston, WV), 86-51, in a league outing.
The Irish now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they host Clay County for a non-league outing on Wednesday, March 1. Charleston Catholic will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 77-55 non-league loss to Hoover (Clendenin, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 3-17.
