February 25, 2023: Athens, TX 75751 The Pine Tree Pirates routed the host Athens Hornets softball squad by a final score of 19-5 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Pirates (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Queen City (Queen City, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Queen City notched a victory over Spring Hill (Longview, TX), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
The Hornets now possess a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Spring Hill for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 25. Athens will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Killeen (Killeen, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 6-4.
