South Dakota High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon/Plankinton defeats Parker
February 25, 2025: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) basketball were winner over the visiting Parker Pheasants (Parker, SD), 50-39 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Titans now possess a 18-4 record. They play next when they host Scotland/Menno for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 27. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will play a Trappers team coming off a 49-42 non-league win over Bon Homme (Tyndall, SD). The Trappers record now stands at 11-11.
With the loss, Parker falls to 0-21 on the campaign. The Pheasants host McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD) to play the Fighting Cougars in a A Region 5 bout on Saturday, December 13. The Fighting Cougars go into the bout with a record of 11-13. McCook Central/Montrose lost 55-38 in their recent non-league bout against Wagner (Wagner, SD)
