February 25, 2025: Matthews, NC 28104 The Weddington Warriors baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Providence Panthers to 2 in the Warriors non-league win on Tuesday.
The Warriors now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marvin Ridge for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 26. Weddington will clash with a Mavericks team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Providence drops to 0-1 on the year. The Panthers travel to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to clash with the Mavericks in a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. The Mavericks go into the test with a record of 0-2. Marvin Ridge lost 7-4 in their recent non-league test against Weddington (Matthews, NC)
