Ennis Lions (Ennis, TX) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Kerens Bobcats (Kerens, TX), 16-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Ennis upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Palmer (Palmer, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Thursday, February 27. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 5-3. Palmer lost 5-2 in their recent non-league game against Rice (Rice, TX)

The Bobcats now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Jacksonville for a non-league game on Thursday, February 27. Kerens will play a Fightin' Indians squad coming off a 17-6 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, TX). The Fightin' Indians record now stands at 3-7.
