In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Freedom Patriots baseball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Ashe County Huskies.

The Patriots (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
