The New Bern Bears overwhelmed the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle softball squad by a count of 13-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bears meet the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 4. New Bern will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

With the loss, Ashley moves to 0-1 on the season. The Screaming eagle host Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC) to encounter the Stallions in a non-league battle on Monday, March 2. The Stallions come into the battle with a record of 0-0.
