California High School Volleyball - Palo Alto tips Menlo-Atherton
February 26, 2022: Atherton, CA 94027 Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Menlo-Atherton Bears (Atherton, CA), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Vikings clash with the Gunn Titans (Palo Alto, CA) in a match, on Friday, March 11. Palo Alto will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record.
With the loss, Menlo-Atherton drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Homestead (Cupertino, CA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 2. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 0-0.
Match Summary
The M-A JV team played a 3-set nail-biter against Palo Alto tonight. Sophomore setter, Zach Gosler, provided leadership and ran an efficient offense showing great hustle and energy on the court. Aiden Swartzberg provided a strong back court presence as the libero.
