In Monday's non-league contest, the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) softball team held off the visiting Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers (Rock Hill, SC), by a margin of 1-0.

With the triumph, Porter Ridge moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Pirates host Hough (Cornelius, NC) to play the Huskies in a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 28. The Huskies come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Hough lost 10-0 in their recent non-league contest against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC)

In their next game, the Lancers play the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, February 28.
