McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC) fans left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC), 5-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, McMichael advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Phoenix travel to Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC) to battle the Patriots in a non-league match on Saturday, March 1. The Patriots come into the match with a record of 0-0.

The Vikings now have a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Surry Central for a non-league match on Saturday, March 1. North Stokes will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
