The Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA) basketball edged the host South Gate Rams (South Gate, CA), 61-59 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 10-18 record. They play next when they travel to Legacy for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 27. Sylmar will play a Tigers team coming off a 77-70 non-league win over San Fernando (San Fernando, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-20.

With the loss, South Gate falls to 4-21 on the campaign.
