In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Safford Bulldogs baseball team scored a close 7-1 win over the San Manuel Miners.

The Bulldogs (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Miami (Miami, AZ). The Vandals go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Miami was overwhelmed by San Tan Foothills (Queen Creek, AZ), 7-4, in a non-league game.
