The Aledo Bearcats routed the visiting Abilene Eagles softball team by a margin of 8-0 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Bearcats now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Timber Creek for a non-league battle on Friday, February 27. Aledo will encounter a Falcons team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Grapevine (Grapevine, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Abilene moves to 8-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX) to meet the Hawks in a non-league test on Thursday, February 26. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 5-5. Birdville 3-3 in their recent non-league test against Midway (Waco, TX)
