February 26, 2026: Lamesa, TX 79331 The Floydada Whirlwinds softball team scored 5 runs and held the host Lamesa Tornadoes to 4 in the Whirlwinds non-league win on Thursday.
The Whirlwinds now possess a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Childress for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 26. Floydada will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Henrietta (Henrietta, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-1.
With the loss, Lamesa moves to 2-5 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to meet the Mules in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 27. The Mules enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Muleshoe lost 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Floydada (Floydada, TX)
