In Thursday's non-league test, the Mira Loma Matadors (Sacramento, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Valley Vikings (Sacramento, CA), by a tally of 18-8.

Coming up next, the Matadors encounter the Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League outing, on Tuesday, March 10. Mira Loma will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

With the loss, Valley drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Highlands (North Highlands, CA) to clash with the Scots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 3.
