South Dakota High School Basketball - Riggs nips Jefferson
February 27, 2023: Pierre, SD 57501 Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jefferson Cavaliers (Sioux Falls, SD), 65-58 in a league bout.
With the victory, Riggs upgrades its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Governors travel to Brookings (Brookings, SD) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Friday, March 3. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 5-14. Brookings lost 39-33 in their recent league bout against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD)
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles (Aberdeen, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 3. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 17-4 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 55-52 league loss to Jefferson (Sioux Falls, SD).
