Georgia High School Soccer - Atkinson County overwhelmed by Long County
February 27, 2024: Pearson, GA 31642 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA) and the host Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), saw Long County's soccer squad triumph over Atkinson County by a count of 5-0.
The Blue Tide now hold a 7-0 record. They play next when they travel to Jeff Davis for a non-league test on Thursday, February 29. Long County will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Worth County (Sylvester, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Atkinson County drops to 2-3 on the season. The Rebels host Lanier County (Lakeland, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a 1A D-II Region 1 test on Friday, March 1. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 1-4. Lanier County lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Echols County (Statenville, GA)
