Louisiana High School Softball - Sumner bounces Pearl River
February 27, 2024: Pearl River, LA 70452 Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Cowboys now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fontainebleau for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 28. Sumner will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-6.
With the loss, Pearl River falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Rebels host Pine (Franklinton, LA) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Pine lost 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA)
