The Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA) baseball trounced the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 9-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Evans for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 3. Eastside will clash with a Knights team coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Grovetown (Grovetown, GA). The Knights record now stands at 2-6.

With the defeat, Monroe Area drops to 2-3 on the year. The Purple hurricanes travel to East Jackson (Commerce, GA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 28.
