The New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) basketball edged the visiting Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA), 90-88 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Trojans now possess a 24-1 record. They play next when they host Hopewell for a non-league bout on Friday, February 28. New Kent will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 54-32 non-league win over Norcom (Portsmouth, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 19-2.

With the loss, Heritage falls to 15-10 on the campaign.
