February 27, 2025: Harvest, AL 35749 Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Athens moves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Madison Academy (Madison, AL) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 1-0. Madison Academy won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Randolph School (Huntsville, AL)
The Senators now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Buckhorn for a non-league test on Friday, February 28. Sparkman will clash with a Bucks team coming off a 10-0 league win over Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL). The Bucks record now stands at 2-5.
