In Thursday's non-league bout, the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) baseball squad the visiting Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC), by a score of 6-1.

Next up, the Sabres encounter the Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 28. South Mecklenburg will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Cavaliers enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 13-3 non-league win over West Stanly (Oakboro, NC).
