In Friday's non-league game, the host Bowie Volunteers baseball team scored a close 4-1 win over the Cedar Hill Longhorns.

The Volunteers (3-7) will now prepare for their game against Nimitz (Irving, TX). The Vikings go into the non-league game with a 6-3 record. In their last game, Nimitz nudged Garland (Garland, TX), 10-0, in a non-league game.
