Foard Tigers (Newton, NC) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 10-0 in a non-league game.

With the win, Foard betters its record to 2-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Hickory (Hickory, NC) to confront the Red Tornadoes in a Western Foothills 4A/5A match on Tuesday, March 3. The Red Tornadoes come into the match with a record of 0-1. Hickory lost 20-4 in their recent league match against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC)

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, March 4. Draughn will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
