The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) and the host Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA), observed Fernley's softball team get by Needles by a tally of 7-4.

The Vaqueros (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Tolleson (Tolleson, AZ). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Tolleson nudged Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV), 8-3, in a non-league contest.
