In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Lafayette Commodores softball team scored a tight 7-2 win over the Myrtle Hawks.

The Commodores (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS). The come into the non-league match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, Lake Cormorant was routed by Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS), 11-9, in a non-league match.
