Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Millbrook Wildcats (Raleigh, NC), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Pinecrest upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Patriots host Heritage (Wake Forest, NC) to battle the Huskies in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 2. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 0-1. Heritage lost 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Cary (Cary, NC)

With the defeat, Millbrook falls to 0-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Panther Creek (Cary, NC) to battle the Catamounts in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 1.
