The Hutchinson Tigers basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Richfield Spartans to 62 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 7-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Delano for a AAA Section 6 contest on Friday, March 3. Hutchinson will battle a Tigers team coming off a 85-77 non-league win over Princeton (Princeton, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 17-7.

The Spartans (9-16) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia Heights (Columbia Heights, MN). The Hylanders enter the AAA Section 4 contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, Columbia Heights was defeated by Minneapolis Southwest (Minneapolis, MN), 80-78, in a non-league contest.
