February 28, 2023: Franklin, TX 77856 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) and the visiting Salado Eagles (Salado, TX), saw Franklin's softball squad nip Salado by a count of 3-0.
The Lions now sport a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madisonville for a non-league match on Friday, March 3. Franklin will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Alpha Omega Academy (Huntsville, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-9.
With the loss, Salado falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Glenn (Leander, TX) to face the Grizzlies in a non-league match on Thursday, March 2. The Grizzlies enter the match with a record of 13-2. Glenn won 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Austin (Austin, TX)
