The Community Braves baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Troup Tigers to 5 in the Braves non-league win on Friday.

The Braves now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hughes Springs for a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. Community will play a Mustangs team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Troup (Troup, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, Troup drops to 6-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to Arp (Arp, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 16 test on Tuesday, March 4. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 2-6. Arp lost 9-1 in their recent non-league test against Huntington (Huntington, TX)
