The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the McCollum Cowboys (San Antonio, TX) and the host Cotulla Cowboys (Cotulla, TX), saw McCollum's baseball team beat Cotulla by a margin of 6-1.

The Cowboys (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX). The Bobcats enter the 5A Region IV District 28 battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, South San Antonio held off Santa Gertrudis Academy (Kingsville, TX), 9-0, in a non-league battle.
