The Highland Hawks baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Deer Valley Skyhawks to 4 in the Hawks non-league win on Friday.

The Hawks now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. Highland will play a Lions team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Canyon View (Waddell, AZ). The Lions record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Deer Valley drops to 0-2 on the year. The Skyhawks travel to Apollo (Glendale, AZ) to play the Hawks in a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 1-2. Apollo won 9-2 in their recent non-league test against Mingus (Cottonwood, AZ)
