The East Jackson Eagles baseball squad (Commerce, GA), was overwhelmed 8-3 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA)

With the triumph, Monroe Area moves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Purple Hurricanes host Stephens County (Toccoa, GA) to confront the Indians in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 4. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 7-1.

The Eagles now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Apalachee for a non-league contest on Monday, March 3. East Jackson will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Bethlehem Christian Academy (Bethlehem, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-6.
