February 28, 2025: Iowa Colony, TX 77583 The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Iowa Colony Pioneers (Iowa Colony, TX) and the visiting Goose Creek Memorial Patriots (Baytown, TX), saw Iowa Colony's baseball team gain a win over Goose Creek Memorial by a tally of 6-1.
The Pioneers (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Dobie (Houston, TX). The Longhorns enter the non-league battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Dobie held off Mayde Creek (Houston, TX), 11-4, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Patriots face the Clear Brook Wolverines (Friendswood, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 6. Goose Creek Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX).
