The Horizon Scorpions baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Stanton Buffaloes to 0 in the Scorpions non-league win on Friday.

The Scorpions now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Pecos for a non-league test on Friday, February 28. Horizon will play a Eagles team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Midland Classical Academy (Midland, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-6.

With the defeat, Stanton drops to 4-5 on the year. The Buffaloes travel to Compass Academy (Odessa, TX) to play the in a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. The go into the test with a record of 4-1. Compass Academy won 4-2 in their recent non-league test against Monahans (Monahans, TX)
