The New Boston Lions baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting McLeod Longhorns to 7 in the Lions non-league win on Friday.

The Lions now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Linden-Kildare for a non-league test on Saturday, March 1.

With the defeat, McLeod drops to 0-1 on the year. The Longhorns host Rivercrest (Bogata, TX) to play the Rebels in a 2A Region III District 17 test on Friday, March 14. The Rebels go into the test with a record of 4-2.
