The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC) and the visiting Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC), saw Red Springs's baseball team gain a win over Seventy-First by a tally of 17-7.

The Red Devils (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Forest Hills prevailed over Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC), 14-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Falcons face the South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) in a United Eight 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, March 4. Seventy-First will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 9-2 non-league win over Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC).
