South Dakota High School Basketball - Douglas trounced by Brookings
February 28, 2025: Brookings, SD 57006 Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Douglas Patriots (Box Elder, SD), 58-30 in a league match.
With the victory, Brookings advances its record to 10-9 on the year. The Bobcats host Spearfish (Spearfish, SD) to face the Spartans in a AA match on Saturday, March 1. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 14-4. Spearfish won 58-51 in their recent non-league match against Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD)
The Patriots now own a 2-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yankton for a AA match on Saturday, March 1. Douglas will face a Bucks/Gazelles squad coming off a 53-36 league loss to Tea (Tea, SD). The Bucks/Gazelles record now stands at 0-19.
